it or not the “Eyewitness News” slogan was adopted by Channel 7 in Brisbane before the 0-TEN Network used it. While I can’t pin an exact date on this opener. I remember seeing it in the early 1970s and judging by the vision and the news events between 1972 and 1974. This opener had to air no later than March 1975 when colour transmissions began. In 1976, Seven News in Brisbane changed it’s titles to “Seven News at Six” imitating the famous ITN style opener for “News at Ten”. When …
