Do You Want To Use Mirrors For Your Deco?

February 10th, 2010

In my career as a home improvement consultant I have written a number or reviews and articles about decorative mirrors. I have, in many occasions shared about how to place them correctly in the house, where to buy the best and why they are so important to our everyday lives. I still have a few more tips and tricks up my sleeve to share with you.

Below you will read more about how to place these great pieces and change the look of your house on a very tight budget.

Let me start with the obvious, you can use a mirror to verify your looks before going out to face the world i.e. the way you are dressed, made up or anything in between.

However, the most widely discussed benefit of using decorative ones is their ability to create an illusion of space in the room – especially to smaller rooms. On top of that you can use them to enhance the natural light in the house.

There are a number of options to choose your decorative mirror from. For instance, you can opt for a wall , oversized, tiny convex, silver, Venetian, metal, handcrafted, wrought iron, antique and full length mirrors to list just a few.

So if you have a small room and you can afford to buy some mirrors use them to cover the walls. Let me just mention that while this has all the advantages it does, however, come with some draw backs. For example, you ca have kids and visitors rubbing their heads against the mirrors and causing them to become cloudy and “uncleanable”. To combat this problem simply use a mirrored tile, which often comes with a design overlay.

You can also have french antique bathroom mirrors on a mantle. Alternatively simply add some highlights on some parts of the walls.

Do not force matters overdoing things around your house. Just do what you can with the resources you have and live the rest to next time. If you want some ideas on what to do exactly use search engine to find other great resources online
