Elizabeth Edwards Funeral To Get Frequented By Westboro Baptist Church

February 10th, 2011

The Westboro Baptist Church has never been a favorite organization with many. They have just announced their objective to picket at Edwards memorial. Edwards had struggled with cancer for a while. The decision in the case against the Westboro Baptists has yet to be decided by the Supreme Court. If members of the armed service get what they’re seeking, the Westboro Baptists might need to take out a number of payday cash advances to cover emotional harm to numerous households. Elizabeth Edwards memorial service to be picketed by Westboro Baptist church

CNN reports that the Westboro Baptist Church could be protesting Elizabeth Edwards memorial service, although typically the protests the church do have to do with soldiers. Elizabeth Edwards had been the wife of John Edwards; the couple had been separated since John Edwards affair and love child with Rielle Hunter had been uncovered. Westboro has few members to speak of who are not the immediate relatives of the head of the church, Fred Phelps. There are less than 100 members in the church when most protests are about homosexuals so they have picket signs with derogatory terms for homosexuals on them to protest. The US is being ruined by homosexuality if you ask the Westboro Baptist church. They feel this way about Judaism too.

Decision from Supreme Court hasn’t been made

A Supreme Court case has the Westboro Baptist Church in. The right to rally at memorials could be changed. The church might not be allowed to any longer. Albert Snyder, father of fallen Marine Corporal Matt Snyder, sued Westboro for defamation and invasion of privacy. Snyder initially won the suit, but it was overturned by the Court of Appeals. The case had been appealed to the Supreme Court, and oral arguments were heard several months ago. Snyder v. Phelps hasn’t been decided yet.

It’s not required to have manners with the First Amendment

The church has still been protesting at funerals although it is controversial. It is completely horrid though considering how the church acts at these. Because of the First Amendment’s way of safeguarding religious freedom, all of the hate speech that the Westboro Baptists is legal.
