Lightning Strikes Two Times In Second Randy Quaid Arrest
It would seem reasonable that individuals with more to lose would not do things involving questionable thinking. Nevertheless, this is not always the case. Well known actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi Quaid were arrested for attempting to defraud an inn last year, after skipping on a hotel bill. Posting bail wasn’t a huge problem, and both went home after that. The event nabbed a substantial amount of headlines. The odd factor about the incident was that it’s not as though a night at a lodging would be a problem. The Quaids were arrested in Texas, but went back to California and resolved it quietly. The terrible two were arrested again just lately in Santa Barbara. Allegedly, they had taken up residence in the guest house of a property they used to won, thinking they still did.
Randy Quaid imprisoned for bypassing on lodging expenses
This is not the first time in the last year that Randy and Evi Quaid have been in trouble. It appears as if it is becoming an annual event. The first incident occurred on Sept. 30, 2009. The Quaids were taken into custody having been suspected to be defrauding an inn. After staying a night in a lodge, they deliberately or accidentally neglected to pay and were arrested in Texas. After posting bail, both missed a series of court dates. Eventually, both went back to court where Evi settled for probation and community service. According to CNN, the two also paid the hotel bill off, and it all seemed settled.
No such thing as squatters’ rights
Some things tend to stick in a persons’ memory. One of them is normally selling a house. Randy and Evi Quaid must have some type of problem with memory, as selling the home did not register. The two sold a property they owned in Santa Barbara years ago. They were lately arrested for taking up residence illegally in the guest house on the property. Despite all documentation being to the contrary, the Quaids believed that they nevertheless owned the property. Police arrested both of them for burglary, as outlined by ABC. The home did used to belong to them, which is clear. However, why they went to the guest house is type of odd.
The prosperous actually are unique
There hasn’t been a comment on either arrest from Dennis Quaid, Randy Quaid’s younger brother. Hollywood seems to produce a unique breed of crazy. The idea of not breaking the law does not occur to the Quaids, or others like Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton.
