What exactly are the causes and symptoms of Listeriosis?
Listeriosis is caused by a germs called Listeria monocytogenes. It is very uncommon for a human to get the disease. Typically Listeriosis is not present in humans. If you have a weak or malfunctioning immune system, you are more likely to get the infection. It also is more likely to go into newborns and elderly people. Listeriosis can cause meningitis too. This is a brain and spinal cord infection that is serious. Being exposed to Listeriosis doesn’t mean you’ll see symptoms right away. Between 3 and 70 days are needed to see them. Because listeriosis can have such a long incubation period, tracking the causes of the infection can be really difficult.

Among these were a condensation leak and hand-washing problems. The recall is only in TX and OK. It also only involves pre-sliced celery. SanGar Produce has released a statement saying that “independent inspectors” have found no problems, and also the business is fighting the TX Department of State Health Services’ findings.

In Ottowa, Canada, health officials have started a recall of ready-to-eat chopped pork. Best-before dates of 2010NO12 of Four L. Fortin chopped ham are being recalled. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has found that this ham contains the bacteria that could cause listeriosis. The Four L.
