McNugget Rampage Of Melodi Dushane Now Public Record
Earlier this year, Melodi Dushane went on a drive-through rampage that was caught on tape. Today, the video tape that shows Melodi Dushane attacking two McDonald’s employees was entered into public record. The video shows an admittedly drunk Melodi Dushane freaking out over the lack of Chicken McNuggets.
Melodi Dushane New Year’s Day attack
Melodi Dushane visited a Toledo McDonald’s and ordered Chicken McNuggets early in the morning on January 1, 2010. She ordered Chicken McNuggets, however they were not at the moment available because it was breakfast hours. Dushane discussed this with a number of of the employees within the McDonald’s, then attacked them. First, Dushane punches and slaps the McDonald’s workers, then breaks the drive-through glass.
Melodi Dushane sentenced to two months
The attack ended up with Melodi Dushane being charged with both assault and vandalism. She initially pleaded not guilty to the charges. Dushane had to pay for the broken window, and had to spend two months in jail. During her legal battles, Melodi Dushane admitted that she was drunk at the time of the attack. The legal costs of the court battle could effortlessly run to the thousands of dollars.
Debating if evidence like this should be made entirely public
There is a strong debate going on in some legal circles about the struggle between the public’s right to know and individual rights. When evidence in a court case used to be made public, individuals had to take action to find it. Now, when evidence is made public, it is often spread around the world in moments.
