New Furniture For AMC
Ahmedabad is the largest state of Gujarat in Indian. Ahmedabad was named after the founder who found the city in 1422 – Gujarat Sultanate. Ahmedabad is administered by AMC (Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation). The establishment of AMC was done under the Bombay Provincial Corporation ACT of 1949 in the month of July in 1950. The building of AMC has been around since 1950 and now it has been said that the new building for AMC is to get modern furniture.
The new building is in progress of being built in Sardar Patel Bhavan in Danapith. They are receiving 5 Crore Indian Rupees to get new modern furniture from the civic body. Many people are asking what is the need of modern furniture in an AMC building when there are children dying of hunger. Whereas reporters were interested to know how the new furniture will look like. They replied back saying it will be different from the traditional wooden or plastic furniture. What are they going to be made of? Will it be made of gold or may be even silver? They are spending 5 crore rupees in it.
Two furniture contracts have been bless to receive this contract. They are both well known and have been producing modern reception furniture and restaurant furniture they have also developed several modern furniture for varios restaurants, hotels and celebrity homes in India. These two companies will be providing modern chairs, tables and stool for the six story building. Apparently they will also be providing old furniture items but why would they need this if they are given 5 crore for modern furniture?
Isn’t 5 crore a lot of money for modern furniture, or is it just right for 6 storey building? If it is just normal furniture how much do you think it will cost? I would love to hear your thoughts?
To be honest I am actually looking forward to the new AMC building just to see the interior and the furniture, let’s see what has been done. The weather is always nice there so that’s not a problem.
