Do you want to know more about how to make quilted designer shower curtains? Let’s just say you have found what you have been looking for. This post has been written with you in mind.

I will quickly go through a few ideas that you can incorporate and some much needed information that you need to know before you start on this project. This is why I invite you to read right to the very end and you will be realise how useful this post is.

You may have tried hard to find what you are looking for in stores to no avail – hence the decision to do it yourself. For instance you may be considering purple shower curtain or ringless shower curtains {blended|accentuated|beautifully combined} with a variety of certain colours but the problem is that your local bathroom store doesn’t have them. This is where DIY comes to play.

Here are the recommendations promised earlier.

You can make it without putting any batting in it to make it lighter.

One of the most important prerequisites of a shower curtain is water proofing – so be careful with your stitching.

You can also make only a quilt top and a plastic curtain for a lining. Saw the quilt top to the lining and have the rivets made.

As highlighted earlier sawing the quilt on to the lining can cause it to leak, this why I recommend sewing at the top. Unless you don’t have much of a problem with the leakage.

You can then hide the seams by putting a backing on it especially if you decide to go with the quilted top.

You can also make buttonholes across the top of the hooks instead of sewing the quilt to the plastic liner. This will leave you with an option to wash the liner easily and separately. You can even throw it away when it wears out without losing the quilt.

Do want to find some tips about washing best shower curtain? Then continue reading this post. Below is an overview of some of the methods you can use. At the end of reading you will be in a position to know at least 3 alternatives you can use to clear your shower curtains..

At times it may be too expensive to change your curtains especially during certain parts of the year when budgets are tight. What do you do if the curtain has some mildew and soap scum all over it?

Some people choose to soak it in the bath with some water and bleach. You need to be careful when using this method as over bleaching can have a negative effect on your beautifully colored coco brown shower curtain.

The simplest and effective method is to put it in the wash. Plastic or fabric a washing machine can do a really good job when it comes to cleaning the curtains. Just make sure that it is set at non-rinse cycle and use normal detergent. You should also consider putting a towel in the wash so the towel abrasiveness can help clean it up.

Another option is to soak it in some soda crystals. You can go for this option if you are looking for something that is eco-friendly. In addition it is superior than bleaching because it does not emit ant nasty smell. Using this method is simple and straight forward, simply add some water in a bath and add the crystals then leave the curtain in there overnight.

I know some people who put their croscill red galleria shower curtain in the wash and substitute the normal detergent with the soda crystals. You can even use some vinegar instead of a condistioner. I haven’t tried this but see no reason why it wouldn’t work.
