Eight months ago I found myself dealing with a declining drywall business and not a clue as to what to do next. I started brainstorming… I wanted to work from home but I didn’t know which industry to chose. You see, I was unmarketable! All I knew was construction and I had let my computer skills decline over the last 13 years to the point that I was a computer and internet idiot. That put a huge roadblock in my path but I was determined to work from home on the internet. Finally waking up and realizing that technology was in nearly every aspect of everyone’s life and deciding that if I didn’t do it now I probably never would, I chose to work from home on the internet!.
One of the common characteristics that I found in this small group of people is that they established themselves as entrepreneurs. And I must tell you, this is not just important; it is the reason why people join multi level marketing businesses in the first place.
Talk about multiple meltdowns! That would accurately describe my first two weeks. The shear volume of stuff I needed to learn to even begin was daunting! (I could barely check my email. No kidding!) Yes I was very frustrated…but I remembered being extremely frustrated when I started my drywall business as well. (You see, I had to learn some VERY basic stuff about my laptop. I went to the Geek Squad and found a nice YOUNG gentleman that was very patient.) Once that “problem” was solved I started to put the program to work. A few hours a day, every day. That was the plan and I stuck to it! I was going to learn how to make money from home!.
So this is my advice to you. Instead of promoting whichever multi level marketing business you join, market you. That’s right. You! Because your multi level marketing business may come and go. It may rise or fall. And that’s okay, because You are your business, not your multi level marketing business. This will require you to brand yourself. This is awesome. You know why?.
Because you just have to be yourself. There is only one you. Nobody can be you or be exactly like you. Now that is some scarcity you got. And by the law of supply and demand, your value just sky rockets. If you put your authentic self front of people, you will create enormous attraction. And here is the key line: front of people. That’s right. You need to know how to put yourself front of people. Have audience ready to listen to your message and know who you are.
The member forum has been a huge help as well. Always answered my brain-dead questions and did it quickly. I also realized by the others posting in the forum that I wasn’t the only one starting with zero knowledge. That was a relief! I knew I had a long way to go but I wasn’t so frustrated anymore and that I would eventually be able to work from home on the internet.
