Are You Aware That Twitter Users Are More Mobile In Their Communication Approaches?

Twitter is a popular microblogging service that helps people worldwide to stay in touch with the latest events, information and interactive websites. Anyone can use Twitter to share quick online messages. Twitter users are permitted to share links to whatever they find interesting, to promote their business or just to write something about a current activity. These messages appear on the profile page, being accessible to your followers and searchable on Twitter search.

Twitter can be used to meet people with similar interests and visions. It is also a very effective marketing tool. In addition, this social network helps you to save time and money, being free to use. Instead of sending mobile messages and calling everybody, you can just write some lines on Twitter.

Communication on Twitter is public- anyone can see what you do and the messages you send. However, you can opt for a private profile and share your thoughts only to those who are your friends. As in any social network, there is the possibility to customize your background page and pictures.

Messages sent via Twitter are called Tweets and are visible on your profile page, but also on the page of those who follow you. Twitter users are allowed to follow an unlimited number of persons. As more exposure they have, as more people will read their messages.

Every time someone requests to follow you, you’ll receive a notification via email. Twitter users can accept, block or ignore those who want to follow them.

Besides the standard message, you have other ways to contact your followers. You can reply to their messages, “retweet” (repeat some information previously tweeted by another user) or send directly a private message to be read only by the recipient.

For some people, Twitter is a marketing tool used to promote activities, specific services or websites. For others, it is a simple channel of communication (a micro blog) or an alternative source of information. Therefore, Twitter may be unnecessary for some and essential for others.  Those who have their own website or blog, usually put a link to the twitter profile to attract interesting followers.  Usually they will use a decorative follow me on twitter button that is linked directly.  This works well in attracting followers who share the same interests-and that’s who you truly want to get to follow your tweets.

How Backgrounds For Twitter Will Better Your Followers List On The Micro-Blog

While we all like to think we are not affected by marketing, imagery and pretty pictures; the opposite is true in almost all instances. No more is this demonstrated than with the varied and crazy world of Twitter backgrounds.

They are important on two main levels; to inform and entertain. It is getting these two factors right that will help you boost your rankings and number of followers. There are a lot of us out there; we need to make sure we are memorable.  Whilst the quality of your tweets will be all important, the image you present of yourself through your background will help keep visitors hooked. It is not all about glossy finishes though; indeed, more important is regards the info you give of yourself.

When first starting to use Twitter, (unless really pushing your brand and corporate image), you would be best advised to stick with their standard set of backgrounds. They have been tastefully and cleverly designed; possibly at a cost of thousands, so should not be disregarded.

Once we know what we are doing with our Twitter blogging though, then it really is necessary to put a little more effort in; particularly if we want to make it work for us.

The settings page is easily navigable, and selecting to change your background with one of your chosen images from your PC or laptop is self explanatory.

How you lay this out can be decided between tiled or centered shot. If you choose to go for the centered option; ensure quality and sharpness is retained to produce the highest quality.

The background is not all about the main graphic that sits behind the text of course; it is just as important to work on the color scheme, and tailor the layout and coloring of your text. Look at combinations that compliment; rather than draw the eye unnecessarily.

Indeed, if you have a blog or website of any sort, you should always put a link to your twitter page.  You can find follow me on twitter buttons that can be pasted right into your theme or website.

As with blogging in general; the backgrounds for Twitter you decide to run with should be reflective of you and your personal image. Try to tie them in with your tweets, change them on a regular basis, and do not be afraid to go back to Twitter’s own set of templates if you aren’t inspired for a short time.
