When you introduce a raw food diet to the body you will begin to see a glow within yourself, from the inside out. We all need to take a look at how our ancestors ate and that was a raw food diet in its purest form, this was naturally their lifestyle.

The common signs of an unbalanced diet include feeling confused and weak, fatigue, irritability, and unexplained mood swings. Since the immune system is generally weak, one becomes tend to allergies and colds. It also affects the tissues, bones, brain, and the entire nervous system. You may even suffer from anemia. To begin with, uncooked foods are rich in various vitamins and minerals, which offer numerous benefits to the body. These include peak performance of the various organs, hormonal balance, radiant skin and strong bone density. The raw food diet also detoxifies the body and keeps the digestive system in great shape.

The staples of the raw food diet are fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, avocado and coconut. Other items used in the raw food diet include dried and frozen fruit, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, olive oil, raw vinegar, unpasteurized soy sauce and some brands of honey and syrup. While this diet can appear to be restrictive, with creativity raw food followers have been able to make tasty cakes, cookies, pancakes, sandwiches, soups, pizza, hummus and chili.

You can also eat foods like beets, cauliflower, zucchini, mushrooms, kale, Cacao, corn raw and also all vegan diet foods. For an interesting salad you can puree beets and garlic. You can also use a carrot slicer to make vegetable noodles if you are not ready to invest in a spiral slicer.
