There Are Many Reasons Why The Police Wear Glasses
Quite often you will see the police wearing their police designer sunglasses but why on earth do they do this? People have come forward with suggestions and the main three are, protection of the eyes, looking cool and because they can? Well it is actually a combination of the three.
Sunlight
The police still do patrol the streets on foot and wearing sunglasses can help them on those long summer days as the sun can damage the eyes when you are out in it for too long. It is actually recommended that police officers wear sunglasses on days like this and it can be especially as important for a police cyclist. They are exposed in the sun even more than the people that are not on the bikes so it helps them see the road.
Expressions- I don’t think so
A lot of cops will put on sunglasses when they are about to interview someone not only to hide their identity but to hide their expressions. There are criminals out there that can play off people’s expressions. They will often be wearing reflective sunglasses so the criminal can only see themselves in the glasses.
Bad Ass
People are certainly more likely to listen to an officer wearing glasses, remember the guy in police academy who wore them, he rocked. Terminator 2 is actually a prime example of how good sunglasses can look on a cop, without them he looked awful!
If you don’t believe me then it is well worth checking out some of the films with those awesome police glasses in and get yourself a pair of D&G sunglasses.
Of course there are many times in which the police wear these glasses because they have too but I am sure there are also many other times when they do it because they can. We would of course do it too.
