Made by a company in the UK called Heart Media, spa goes use a media headset to get surround sound and wrap around images. Your time in the can be spent checking out all the rooms, gardens and facilities, or making some new ones if you like. You can plug your own selection of relaxing music into the game and even book in for a luxurious body polish and massage if you’d like. The game also comes with a vibration pad that attaches to your chair and simulates the feeling of having various different treatments. Other activities include going for a swim, having a sauna and even playing croquet.
The developers claim that using the virtual spa game for 30 minutes will bring down your resting heart rate by up to 20%. They hope to aim the product as people who suffer from stress or anxiety or who love spa days but don’t necessarily have the money to pay for them frequently. They hope that once the game takes off they will be able to start sending out real skin care products to gamers so that can complete that spa experience without leaving the house
