What Cartoons Love Glasses (Part 1)
Just a few cartoons in the list that wear glasses, they are actually quite a few of them, it is also interesting to find out why some of these toons wear glasses.
One of the gang- Velma Dace Dinkley
Velma is easily the star of wearing the glasses, she seems to be the toon that has not yet discovered contacts in all of her years. Although you will never see her wearing cheap glasses she is certainly one for the geeky looking ones. The reason why is she is the cleverest of all of the gang is quite simple, she thinks ahead and reads, a lot. If she isnt wearing her glasses then she is certainly on the floor searching for them.
The Striped t-Shirt man that is Wally/Waldo
This guy has many different names and it really does depend on where you are from, UK calls him Wally and the USA and Canada call him Waldo. Of course the guy is a British invention which makes his name Wally not Waldo. The first time that the UK saw Wally was actually when the first book was published in 1987. Believe it or not this massive franchise is still going very strong indeed with a major movie rumoured to be in the works. I am not ashamed to admit that I collected the magazines when I was a lot younger.
Spongeybob Squarepanttsss
Spongebob only needs his glasses when he is concentrating on jellyfishing which just so happens to be his favourite hobby. Almost in the same way that many people wear them for reading. SpongeBob first hit the screens in 1999 and is still going strong to this day with another series well on the way. He was apparently born in 1986 which would make him 13 in 1999 however it has now been said that he has no specific age and just is whatever age people see him as.
So there is just a few people who where glasses, however where are the cool cartoons that would wear something like police designer glasses.
